“Challenging and complicated projects are my favorite.”
I heard this sentence coming from Tom Grammerstorf at our first meeting, even before our antipasti was on the table.
I liked that. After the classic career of an advertising photographer, Tom, born in 1972, who is always on the lookout for new solutions, recalled his first experiences with virtual photography during his studies.
He approached the topic with all his passion back in the day and today is the synthesis of a full-blooded photographer and a virtuous CGI artist who does all renderings personally. Tom’s networking in the CGI community has reached a level where he tests and evaluates new programs for software manufacturers all the way to Silicon Valley. His hard disks contain programs written for him exclusively. Tom lives and works in Hamburg, and when he embarks on a photo trip, his mobile render farm travels with him.
